The Force Bot to Stay Sold/Short safety forces the bot to hold a sold (short) position. This means the bot can only produce buy (long) signals. This safety will essentially ignore any other buy signals generated by an indicator.
Be careful when using this safety! As long as the indicators are generating a buy-signal, the bot will create a buy-order every time it updates. For example, when the trade amount is 1 BTC and the update interval is set to 1 minute, the bot will buy 1 BTC/min as long as the indicators generate a buy signal. When a sell or stay signal is generated nothing happens.
