Backtest Lab is an advanced feature and therefore only available in the Standard, Professional or Enterprise subscriptions.
The Backtest Labs page in TradeServer provides an overview of all your lab tests, including those which are currently running, those which have been completed, and those which you have created. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you navigate through the Backtest Labs page:
- 1.Creating a New Lab Test
To create a new lab test, click on the "+" icon on the top right corner of the Backtest Labs page. This will open the New Lab Test window.
- 2.Naming your Lab Test
In the New Lab Test window, you can give your lab test a name in the "Name" field. Once you have entered a name, click on the Save button to create the test.
- 3.Selecting a Script
After creating the lab test, the Script Selection window will open. This window provides an overview of all your scripts. Select the script you want to test by clicking on it, and then click on the "Start" button.
- 4.Lab Setup Page
After selecting your script, the Lab Setup page will open. Here, you can configure various settings for your lab test, such as the number of iterations, the start and end date, and other parameters specific to your script.
- 5.Lab Test List
Once you have created your lab test, it will appear in the Lab Test List on the Backtest Labs page. This list displays various columns, including the start time of the lab run, the name of the test, the script being used, the algorithm used, the current status, the progressing status, and an options column.
- 6.Duplicating or Deleting a Lab Test
In the options column, you can find the Copy icon, which allows you to make a duplicate of the lab test, and the Delete icon, which deletes the lab test.
